“cape cod immediately conjures up images of lobsters, sea shells, and schooners gliding into harbor. inspired by these symbols of summer, the kate spade cape cod collection is a bold, playful print with a nautical theme. – Kate Spade
Teen Vogue (may 2007) and Vanity Fair (June 2007) declared the Kate Spade Cape Cod lobster print bags a “Must Have Summer Essentialâ€? and should be on every fashionista’s checklist. Well judging by how these bags remain on the KateSpade site where they sit collecting dust in the sale section, the bags weren’t as big of a hit as those magazines predicted. It’s a nay on my side because whenever I look at the print I can’t help but get a slight craving for a lobster meal - Red Lobster anyone?
What do you guys think? Is this a hit or miss from Kate Spade?

My daughter, who is 19 picked up the plastic tote after she saw it Seventeen Magazine. I don’t know why this line had such high ratings in the magazines. I don’t like it one bit. It’s not a bag that I, an older woman in her late 30’s would carry. Nor would any of my girlfriends.
